TIBO is operated by Juliana Villamil ("we", "us"), based in New Jersey, USA. This policy explains what personal data TIBO collects, why, who processes it on our behalf, and how you stay in control of it — wherever in the world you're studying from.
Account info: your name and email address, used for login and to personalize the app.
Course material you upload: syllabi, slides, PDFs, and class recordings — used only to build your study plan for that class.
Usage data: which features you use and when (e.g. flashcard sessions, streaks), so we can see what's working and fix what isn't.
We deliberately do not collect your location, date of birth, or phone number — we don't need them to run TIBO. We never see or store your card details: payment is handled entirely by our payment processor (see below).
Your uploaded material is used only to generate your own study plan, flashcards, quizzes, and notes for your own account. We do not use it to train AI models, we do not sell it, and we do not use it for anyone else's benefit but yours.
TIBO runs on a small number of infrastructure providers, each processing data strictly to keep the app running — never for their own purposes:
When TIBO generates flashcards, quizzes, or notes from your material, that material is sent to Anthropic's Claude API, processed on servers in the United States, and the result is sent back to your account. By using TIBO's AI features, you consent to this transfer. We only send what's needed to generate your content — never more. TIBO does not train any AI model on your material, and Anthropic does not use API content to train its models by default.
⚠️ Don't upload material containing sensitive personal information you wouldn't want processed by a third-party AI service — passwords, financial records, medical information, or another student's private data without their consent.
TIBO currently uses only the essential cookies needed to keep you signed in (set by Supabase). We don't run analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies today. If that ever changes, we'll add a cookie banner here with equally easy Accept/Reject options before any non-essential cookie loads — not after.
Wherever you are, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent for AI processing at any time (by deleting your account). You can delete your account and everything in it — instantly, no waiting period — from Profile → Delete my account inside the app, or by emailing support@clubtibo.it.com. Deleting your account removes your profile, classes, materials, flashcards, quizzes, notes, and usage history. Some anonymized records (like AI processing costs, with your identity removed) may be kept for accounting purposes.
If you're in Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, or Chile, these rights are guaranteed under your local data protection law (LGPD, Ley 1581, LFPDPPP, and equivalents) — TIBO applies the same standard globally rather than a different policy per country.
TIBO is for users 18 years of age or older. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
If we make a material change to this policy, we'll email active users before it takes effect — not just quietly update this page. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
